Why Backyard Plastic Playground Sets Are Great For Kids

Even at a young age kids can have noticeable differences in their play preferences, but if there's one thing almost all kids love, boy or girl, it's a trip to the park. Things to climb up, slide down, squeeze through, swing on, hide under and behind and whatever else their imaginations can conjure provides one big adventure for them. But you already have the park - so what possible benefits could there be to purchasing something for the backyard?

Although we all love to take our kids to the park as often as possible, not everyone lives close enough by the park or has the time. Sometimes the kids ask to go to the park and we just don't have the time or means to take them - with backyard playground sets, it's all there ready to be used right away, so the kids can even get 10 minutes supervised use if you're pushed for time, which is better than nothing at all.

When inviting friends over who have small children, or even hosting a children's party, having something that's fun and varied for the garden is great to occupy the kids. [I always recommend supervising small children on any kind of climbing frame, however, to make sure they don't fall.]

Weather-proof...

Many times the park is washed out with everything soaked through with rain. With smaller-sized plastic playground sets they can be placed under a tarp when not in use to keep them dry for when the rain stops, or better yet, left under a permanently set up canopy so even when it's raining the kids can have fun.

Safer (and more expedient for sorting out any accidents...)

Climbing frames in public places need to be made out of hard materials to prevent vandals from wrecking them. Although when used carefully, wood and metal playground equipment is safe, it's just a fact of life that even when closely supervising kids, accidents will happen. It's much better a child bumps his head or face or leg on a something made of plastic than something made of wood or metal.

Plus, should accidents occur - serious or minor - you at least have the advantage of being right at home already to patch them up or summon help or rush them to the ER.

I'm certainly not saying you shouldn't take your child to the park and to replace it with something in your own backyard. Nothing beats the open space, interaction with other kids and variety of a park, but having something in your own backyard provides excellent fun and flexibility for the times a trip to the park isn't convenient or possible.

How To Move Heavy Mattress Box Spring To The Second Floor

Moving the mattress and the bed frame alone is physically taxing. If you move your heavy and bulky box spring to the upper floors of your house, this is even more challenging.

Why do you need a box spring in the first place? It has been established that mattress sets do not really require the use of box springs. However, mattress experts claimed that these additional bedding accessories can help avoid depressions and sags. They also increase the comfort of the bed.

You can use the following steps to move this additional bedding piece to your second floor:

Step 1: You should ask a friend to help you out. Two people can carry this piece of bedding accessory. You should hold one end and your friend can carry the other end. You should position yourself to the head of the box spring so you can go up backwards.

Step 2: Measure the furniture first and find out if it can fit the stairway or the doorway of your room. Find a good angle where it can fit easily.

Step 2: Slowly bend your knees until you have reached waist level. Be careful not to lift the furniture suddenly or you will hurt your back. Gradually lift your legs while holding one end of the box spring. Your friend holding the other end should do the same method at the same time.

Step 3: If you can carry the box spring with one hand, use your other hand to support the upper part of the furniture. If not, you can secure the upper part using a removable tape.

Step 4: Carefully move backwards. Your motion with your friend should be synchronized so he or she does not end up pushing you. You might also want to move first so that your friend can follow. Hold the end of the furniture at arms length so you can peek below and find out if you are going to trip on a tread of the staircase.

Step 5: When moving into corners, slowly angle the furniture to fit the corners. Your friend might need to take a back step to position the furniture and avoid banging it to the corners of the stairs.

Step 6: Once you have already reached your destination, carefully put it down. Bend your knees and support the top of the box spring when putting it down. Make sure your partner have also moved it down before releasing your hold on it.
